Ford unveils all-new Mustang GT4 at Spa-Francorchamps
  • New GT4 race car based on the Ford Mustang Dark Horse

  • Second Mustang race car after recent reveal of Mustang GT3

  • Built in partnership with Multimatic, featuring Coyote-based V8 engine developed fully in-house by Ford Performance

  • On display to the public during the entire race week of the GT4 European Series and CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa

The Mustang GT4 is based on the all-new Mustang Dark Horse, and continues an uninterrupted tenure by Ford in the GT4 category. Like its Mustang GT3 sibling, it receives a bold and colorful livery adapted from from Troy Lee Designs' liveries for other recent Ford Performance creations.

The Mustang GT4 is a key member of our motorsports lineup,” said Global Director Mark Rushbrook, Ford Performance Motorsports. “Its placement between the Mustang GT3 and soon-to-be-unveiled Mustang Dark Horse R keeps the brand in competition at all levels and is an important part of our customer racing program.”

With the new Mustang GT4, Ford Performance further expands its partnership with Multimatic, who will build every Mustang GT4. The Ford Coyote-based V8 race engines in the Mustang GT4, developed fully in-house by Ford Performance, will be assembled in Dearborn, Michigan.

We’re proud to work with so many great partners on these race vehicle programs, said Christian Hertrich, Motorsports powertrain manager, Ford Performance. “It’s also special to be able to do all of the engine work for the Mustang GT4 fully in-house. I’m excited for Mustang fans to see the Mustang GT4 in action.”

Meanwhile, the Mustang GT4 will take part in Wednesday evening's parade between the Spa-Francorchamps racetrack and Spa city centre. After that, it will be on display during the entire race week at Spa-Francorchamps, where GT4 European Series Powered by RAFA Racing Club resumes track action with two Free Practice sessions on Thursday, at 14.00 CEST and 20.05 CEST.
